In the heart of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the Luberon Regional Nature Park is a living and preserved space that covers 185,000 hectares, spread over 77 municipalities: 51 municipalities in Vaucluse and 26 municipalities in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
The backbone of this territory is the Luberon massif. It stretches from west to east for 75 km between Cavaillon and Forcalquier and culminates at 1,125 m at the summit of Mourre Nègre. The combe de Lourmarin connects the north and the south of the territory; it separates the Petit Luberon, in the west, from the Grand Luberon, in the east.
